RECYCLING CHANGES

The City is now working with the McNairy County Recycling Center.

What does that mean for you? We can now recycle many more items than         we did before and continue to reduce the City’s costs at the local landfill.

In addition to the plastic, paper, cans and cardboard we already pick-up, we added the following items to our recycling list:

    Clothes                       Shoes                                     Purses

Belts                           Cooking pots & pans            Paint & paint cans

Electronics-all sizes (no TV’s)              Glass items (no wind shields)

            Appliances-all sizes

(For large appliances call City Hall 731-632-1401                  and  we will pick them up at the street)

We still cannot accept Styrofoam, TV’s and wood.

We have regular curbside pick-ups every other week for Adamsville City residents who are registered at City Hall. There is a large dumpster behind City Hall to put your items in if you are not on city pick-up, (county residents) or if you need to bring it by before the scheduled date of pick-up. Bags are available in the City Hall office.    Thank you for recycling and for helping to keep the landfill rates down .
